Alfredinho Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of play forced Colognese FC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Christopher Bloom hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The Colognese FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
