The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Go Ahead Falcons's Amílcar Taborda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by 郑斐响 in the 11th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Go Ahead Falcons's Sofiane Mourlon. But to his dismay, Sofiane Mourlon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 18th minute Amílcar Taborda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílcar Taborda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Taborda in the 20th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Taborda, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Falcons's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Miljenko Gošljević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and 郑斐响 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 郑斐响 really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When Leonel Maciel fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Go Ahead Falcons's protests and gave Leonel Maciel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Go Ahead Falcons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Maciel made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. The crowd rose to their feet as Amílcar Taborda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 4-0 in the 48 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Miljenko Gošljević in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miljenko Gošljević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Amílcar Taborda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Falcons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Miljenko Gošljević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miljenko Gošljević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Go Ahead Falcons's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miljenko Gošljević came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Go Ahead Falcons's Jacinto Moutinho was substituted for Edmundo Dracena. In the 71st minute Amílcar Taborda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, 郑斐响 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 郑斐响 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. 77 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Taborda came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 83rd match minute, Go Ahead Falcons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Maciel to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Falcons's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Miljenko Gošljević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Andrija Đupić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrija Đupić, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Go Ahead Falcons fully deserved thier win.
