The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Rigoberto Bihar in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rigoberto Bihar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. River Plate ® 9-12's Rigoberto Bihar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Peru got a corner. River Plate ® 9-12's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Moises Gayoso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rigoberto Bihar quite easily take care of the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Silvanito in the 15th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Akhilleus Rallis in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The supporters of Peru booed when River Plate ® 9-12 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akhilleus Rallis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Rigoberto Bihar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhammet Ökten in the 27th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Muhammet Ökten came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonso Berganza got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Milagros Fraga. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
