Josef Uggla kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Per-Arne Vidman came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Per-Arne Vidman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Boni in the 16th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tahsin Elçioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After taking down the ball on Kropotkins pojkar's corner Peder Lidström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Kropotkins pojkar's Jens-Åke Ahlquist got a free kick in the 25th minute. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Witold Kosakowski, made in the 29th minute of the game. In the 31st match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Fraga to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. A collision led to Kropotkins pojkar getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Witold Kosakowski hit a great ball. Per-Arne Vidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Tahsin Elçioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kropotkins pojkar's Per-Arne Vidman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Kropotkins pojkar from getting a goal against them. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Per-Arne Vidman made a huge save. Witold Kosakowski hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Per-Arne Vidman made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Peru booed when Kropotkins pojkar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witold Kosakowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kropotkins pojkar's Per-Arne Vidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Peru's Luz Tejedor got a free kick in the 78th minute. Witold Kosakowski hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. After 81 played minutes Kropotkins pojkar got a freekick which was hit by Witold Kosakowski. Eliseo Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Per-Arne Vidman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Kropotkins pojkar's Jens-Åke Ahlquist got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, Milagros Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru played a much better game than Kropotkins pojkar and deserved their victory. The Kropotkins pojkar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
