Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernest Manea started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Manea in the 9th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isac Hojbota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Maghiar in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isac Hojbota. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Olimpiu Rizea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Isac Hojbota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Gayoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Isac Hojbota successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Isac Hojbota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Hojbota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Crușeveanu. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Isac Hojbota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 66th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Isac Hojbota. FC Politehnica Timisoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isac Hojbota read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isac Hojbota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Hojbota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Moises Gayoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Yosua Helguera, made in the 84th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of FC Politehnica Timisoara's Isac Hojbota. Isac Hojbota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Crușeveanu in the 89th minute of play. After 91 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Yosua Helguera.
