Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Consejo del Mate's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Consejo del Mate's Julio Kemen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ervin Alla kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match.
