Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Moises Fernandino took the kick off in the first half of the match. Richy Van Aertvin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for El Salvador. Mateo Leguizamo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Taha Akyol. 0-1. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd match minute, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teun Van Heurick to maneuver through the defense. Mateo Leguizamo, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Taha Akyol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Teun Van Heurick hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Taha Akyol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Salvador reached it. Moises Fernandino might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Taha Akyol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Fernandino ran back to his position shaking his head. Taha Akyol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Luque in the 48th minute of the match. The Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Salvador were winning 0-1.

The crowd rose to their feet as El Salvador's Moises Fernandino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Taha Akyol. That made the score 0-2 after 54 minutes of play. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Natan Coekx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter-Jan Weba charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter-Jan Weba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Peter-Jan Weba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natan Coekx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Karel-Jan Biermans with David Smedts as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Taha Akyol in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Natan Coekx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Taha Akyol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Smedts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched El Salvador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
