Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 18th minute of play forced Ema City's goalkeeper Bartosz Trzenzalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ema City's Andre Buncol got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when José Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Ema City's José Carneiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 34th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Trzenzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carneiro in the 38th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Ema City got a freekick which was hit by Andre Buncol. Bartosz Trzenzalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bartosz Trzenzalski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ema City made a substitution. Qiu Wei Yan replaced Marek Mockiewicz. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Andre Buncol, made in the 63rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of play forced Ema City's goalkeeper Bartosz Trzenzalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Peru's Bartosz Trzenzalski threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Gallo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ema City had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
