Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jan-Olof Eliasson might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Olof Eliasson ran back to his position shaking his head. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 4th minute of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. In the 8th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Ros to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Jan-Olof Eliasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Jan-Olof Eliasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. After having played for 27 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 32nd minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Belchior Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Olof Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute, Fulgencio Gartzi made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi. But to his dismay, Fulgencio Gartzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 46th minute, Clemente Anaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dylan Sarmiento fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Dylan Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fulgencio Gartzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Gartzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulgencio Gartzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jose Carita made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Gallardeta's Sebastian Abechuco. When Clemente Anaya fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Gallardeta's protests and gave Clemente Anaya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Clemente Anaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belchior Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by La Gallardeta's Jan-Olof Eliasson. But to his dismay, Jan-Olof Eliasson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Fulgencio Gartzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Jan-Olof Eliasson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Jan-Olof Eliasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Jan-Olof Eliasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Gartzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 96th minute Jan-Olof Eliasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. La Gallardeta had won after a very even match.
