Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Café DE PLOEG getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Michael Wollans hit a great ball. After 4 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. Felix Montes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Carel Van de Schrieck made a huge save. With a little luck, Café DE PLOEG's Carel Van de Schrieck got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute of the match Café DE PLOEG got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bóas Goethals ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carel Van de Schrieck having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Michael Wollans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Wollans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 25th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carel Van de Schrieck was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute Herbert Sempels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carel Van de Schrieck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that Herbert Sempels's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbert Sempels's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. If Michael Wollans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ecuador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Café DE PLOEG were winning 1-2.

Herbert Sempels's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Carel Van de Schrieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Café DE PLOEG's Carel Van de Schrieck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Carel Van de Schrieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Café DE PLOEG's Louis Vischkens was substituted for Herbert Sempels. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Jendry Sambuaga hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Louis Vischkens came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 92 minute. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, Café DE PLOEG still came away with the win.
