Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nikifor Vardev started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trendafil Mihalkov made in the 8th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nikifor Vardev however managed to control. 9 minutes into the match, Artur Shelby notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Nikifor Vardev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikifor Vardev in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Nikifor Vardev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CSKA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikifor Vardev in the 19th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikifor Vardev hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Nikifor Vardev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikifor Vardev, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikifor Vardev in the 38th minute of play. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play.

Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Todor Slaveev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Todor Slaveev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikifor Vardev in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, CSKA's Nikifor Vardev ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Nikifor Vardev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Nikifor Vardev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Todor Slaveev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Nikifor Vardev made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikifor Vardev's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The CSKA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CSKA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
