Thiago Pliego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 15th match minute, Tirant lo Blanch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo España to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 21st minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tirant lo Blanch. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonard Treppa was the one to do the kick off. Leonard Treppa struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tirant lo Blanch. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Chile's Orlando Casaus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kamal Pahlevi narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
