Luis Andino made in the 7th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play forced FC Hiiu Pallurid's goalkeeper Marko Meerits to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, FC Hiiu Pallurid's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marko Meerits reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tavo Oidra hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Meerits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Hiiu Pallurid getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tavo Oidra hit a great ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. FC Hiiu Pallurid's Marko Meerits played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Merdan Abesadze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, FC Hiiu Pallurid's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marko Meerits reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marko Meerits showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Marko Meerits tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert Tara charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gert Tara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Gert Tara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Merdan Abesadze to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that FC Hiiu Pallurid's Marko Meerits managed to reach the ball for a save. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Merdan Abesadze came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
