The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when KS Grocholice's Zbyszko Mierzejewski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of KS Grocholice booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes, Ludomil Jaraczeski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KS Grocholice and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Uruguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Cazalla in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Walery Tamulewicz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Walery Tamulewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walery Tamulewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 28th minute of the match. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Norbert Dyczkowski made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. Walery Tamulewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, KS Grocholice's Tymoteusz Bielatowicz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tymoteusz Bielatowicz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KS Grocholice protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tymoteusz Bielatowicz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 37th minute, one of KS Grocholice:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KS Grocholice. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Walery Tamulewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislaw Rakowicz in the 45th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Franco's late challenge caught a KS Grocholice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Franco helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. After the first half Uruguay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zbyszko Mierzejewski was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, KS Grocholice's Ludomil Jaraczeski got a free kick in the 50th minute. Walery Tamulewicz made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Miroslaw Pyrzyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Walery Tamulewicz managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adam Tychy hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. KS Grocholice's Clever Odunlami was substituted for Deon Chegwyn. Adam Tychy kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Jaime Cazalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walery Tamulewicz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomil Jaraczeski in the 76th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Mierzejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walery Tamulewicz. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Zbyszko Mierzejewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Walery Tamulewicz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 90 minutes into the match, KS Grocholice's goalkeeper Walery Tamulewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Ludomil Jaraczeski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. Patryk Patora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Uruguay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
