Leon Llorenc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play. Emanuel Oto kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Llorenc having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Llorenc having to interfere. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifacio Petri went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 39th minute of play forced Antapoca FC's goalkeeper Leon Llorenc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Antapoca FC's corner Bonifacio Petri fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raul Gaizko was the one to do the kick off. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Gaizko in the 53rd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Gaizko, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lorenzo Cazalla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mexico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lorenzo Cazalla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antapoca FC's Leon Llorenc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Antapoca FC from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Mexico failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
