Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Xu Yun Quan got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Abram Sarmiento advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 4th minute. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kerry Sellers in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Claudio Marangoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sid Chadwick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Kerry Sellers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Kerry Sellers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Xu Yun Quan. But to his dismay, Xu Yun Quan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 27th minute, Abram Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Farid Mondragón. C. A. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ryszard Prusinowski scored 2-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Antonio Indiano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Eric Snowden managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Snowden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 39 in the game by Xu Yun Quan from a close distance when the talented Pedro Manzanares managed to make a qualified save. Colombia's players were relieved. Kerry Sellers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Prusinowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute Kerry Sellers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Kerry Sellers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Marangoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 56th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Independiente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eric Snowden in the 58th minute. C. A. Independiente's Eric Snowden was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Sellers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 66 minutes, Claudio Marangoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Marangoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudio Marangoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C. A. Independiente made a substitution. Sidney Forbes replaced Xu Yun Quan. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 81st minute of the match. Farid Mondragón was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Abram Secada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Secada really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. In the 89th minute, Colombia's Ignacio Mastache ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Farid Mondragón. Farid Mondragón yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see C. A. Independiente lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
