An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play forced MALAIA FDFDF's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Renato Donatello. MALAIA FDFDF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that MALAIA FDFDF's Paulo Renato Donatello managed to reach the ball for a save. Dito Sousa's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dito Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes MALAIA FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Dito Sousa. MALAIA FDFDF's Paulo Renato Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of MALAIA FDFDF's Paulo Renato Donatello. Paulo Renato Donatello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maurinho Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Paulo Renato Donatello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulo Renato Donatello was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-7. In the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Renato Donatello. The goal made the score 1-8. After some careless play in the MALAIA FDFDF defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Renato Donatello. The MALAIA FDFDF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Renato Donatello should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Renato Donatello came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-10 in the 74th minute. In the 79th minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Renato Donatello. Paulo Renato Donatello yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-11. Paulo Renato Donatello was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-12. 85 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Renato Donatello. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-13. Paulo Renato Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With a little luck, MALAIA FDFDF's Paulo Renato Donatello got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-14. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MALAIA FDFDF.
