Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Teofilio in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Teofilio in the 30th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Bonpland United's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximiliano Teofilio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39thth minute of the game Maximiliano Teofilio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guido Eufrasio made a great header on Bonpland United's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 43rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Orlando Fanuco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 45 minutes Bonpland United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bonpland United's Guido Eufrasio got a free kick in the 51st minute. Maximiliano Teofilio kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Urbano Vincente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Fanuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bonpland United's Marcial Sengrat, in the 67th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Bonpland United. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Orlando Fanuco in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Teofilio in the 75th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Teofilio notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Orlando Fanuco in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Bonpland United's Maximiliano Teofilio. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Teofilio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
