Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florencio Cordarryl in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Florencio Cordarryl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jiang Lei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 38 minutes of play, Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Diego Hitzeder made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Florencio Cordarryl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Florencio Cordarryl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florencio Cordarryl. Florencio Cordarryls short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ermegildo Unai took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Diego Hitzeder managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After having played for 62 minutes, Florencio Cordarryl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Cordarryl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 68th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Florencio Cordarryl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florencio Cordarryl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Florencio Cordarryl sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd match minute, Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 邓凌奕 to maneuver through the defense. When Joshua Secada came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Secada couldn't finish the play. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
