Duarte Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rogerio Fontarigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Herruz in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogerio Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Flinston FC - DMZ defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogerio Fontarigo. The Flinston FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogerio Fontarigo should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Tião Donatello sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Tião Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Flinston FC - DMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play forced Flinston FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Rogerio Fontarigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Flinston FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tomas Herruz hit a great ball. Elano da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogerio Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Flinston FC - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tião Donatello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Flinston FC - DMZ's Rogerio Fontarigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Flinston FC - DMZ from getting a goal against them. Reginaldo Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reginaldo Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristian Sancho did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Rogerio Fontarigo 61 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Flinston FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Rogerio Fontarigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Rogerio Fontarigo in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogerio Fontarigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of the match. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogerio Fontarigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, Flinston FC - DMZ's Rogerio Fontarigo got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogerio Fontarigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute, Flinston FC - DMZ's Jefferson da Silva seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jefferson da Silva the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Flinston FC - DMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jefferson da Silva had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 91 minutes into the game, one of Flinston FC - DMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 0-7 came through a penalty shot after 94 played minutes, when Ecuador:s Daniel Zorita calmly waited for Flinston FC - DMZ:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogerio Fontarigo having to interfere. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogerio Fontarigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 98th minute. The Flinston FC - DMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
