Boguslaw Mierzwa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 3rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Dropinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Weyna having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Dumont, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 14th minute, Santos Dumont left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MKS Bełchatów fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 17 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MKS Bełchatów the free kick. After 17 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. In the 19th minute, MKS Bełchatów's Santos Dumont dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After having played for 24 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Dropinski's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marian Dropinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. MKS Bełchatów's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Dropinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MKS Bełchatów's goalie prevented a goal. Santos Dumont blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylwester Lampa in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marian Dropinski to strike the kick off in the second half. If Santos Dumont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Boguslaw Mierzwa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santos Dumont struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MKS Bełchatów. In the 65th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Weyna having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Radomil Weyna. Tomas Illescas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. In the 76th minute Marian Dropinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Santos Dumont ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Santos Dumont kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Mariusz Kazczyk charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariusz Kazczyk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Mariusz Kazczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radomil Weyna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 92nd minute. Marian Dropinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MKS Bełchatów.
