Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wannes van Elderen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Di Maio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Di Maio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes, Alex Chicote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the KFC Nederename players grew even worse after the yellow card. 18 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Werner Vrancken's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 20th minute, Werner Vrancken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Nederename fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wannes van Elderen in the 23rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wannes van Elderen, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. KFC Nederename's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Werner Vrancken in the 37th minute. The corner led KFC Nederename's Werner Vrancken to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, KFC Nederename's Janes De kaiser sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Wannes van Elderen made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wannes van Elderen's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Di Maio having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Tomas Illescas could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Bernardo Di Maio however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Wannes van Elderen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After 59 minutes, Matty Vandenbosch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Nederename and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Bernardo Di Maio made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Wannes van Elderen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Wannes van Elderen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yoeri Vanbuyten's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yoeri Vanbuyten helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KFC Nederename getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Yoeri Vanbuyten hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Tomas Illescas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janes De kaiser, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Wannes van Elderen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KFC Nederename had played much better football throughout.
