After 20 minutes of play, KFC Nederename's Wannes van Elderen made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Matty Vandenbosch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Jaime Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Cazalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Di Maio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Di Maio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Philippe-Arnaud Reynders blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the 34th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. If Janes De kaiser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Di Maio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Werner Vrancken with Janes De kaiser as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Bernardo Di Maio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 44th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jeffery Van Daelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Philippe-Arnaud Reynders came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to KFC Nederename getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dave van Hollebecke hit a great ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Nederename's goalkeeper Bernardo Di Maio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Di Maio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Gisbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bernardo Di Maio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Nederename's goalkeeper Bernardo Di Maio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardo Di Maio. Francisco Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wannes van Elderen in the 87th minute of play. With a little luck, KFC Nederename's Bernardo Di Maio got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Wannes van Elderen came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The KFC Nederename fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when KFC Nederename's Wannes van Elderen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
