The supporters of Peru booed when SMOCZANKA MIELEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roch Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of the match. When Milagros Fraga came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milagros Fraga couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Roberto Lewandowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Giraldo to strike the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. SMOCZANKA MIELEC made a substitution. Bernard Cytrynski replaced Bertil Ekström. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Bernard Cytrynski made in the 88th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nuno Malafaia. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
