Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) FÊNIX F.C.'s Armando Saldanha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mário Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the FÊNIX F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Matorin couldn't finish the play. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FÊNIX F.C.'s Mário Matorin took a good shot, in the 18th minute, which hit the crossbar above Lautaro Navarro's head, and flew over the goal. Honduras's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by FÊNIX F.C.. Mário Matorin shot from long distance after 18 played minutes, a shot that Lautaro Navarro with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. The supporters of Honduras booed when FÊNIX F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Villa to maneuver through the defense. After 29 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FÊNIX F.C.'s Artur Maranhense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 43rd minute, Fernando Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Oswaldo Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes, Fernando Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FÊNIX F.C. and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Maranhense. FÊNIX F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Sebastian Villa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Artur Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honduras's Luca Espinar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enéas Arruda, made in the 95th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Honduras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FÊNIX F.C..
