Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Arquímedes's Domingo Librado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jeremias Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Cordario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arquímedes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeremias Cordario quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 13 minutes into the match, Arquímedes's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Jeremias Cordario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 17th minute of play forced Arquímedes's goalkeeper Jeremias Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arquímedes's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Cordario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Arquímedes getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Enrico Petrini hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play forced Arquímedes's goalkeeper Jeremias Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Cordario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of the match. Ramon Abila kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Domingo Librado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Domingo Librado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Arquímedes's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Jeremias Cordario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Arquímedes's Victorino Bonadona made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingo Librado went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Ramon Abila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arquímedes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorino Bonadona went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Enrico Petrini charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrico Petrini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Arquímedes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrico Petrini to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Domingo Librado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeremias Cordario firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Arquímedes booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matias Fresco hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Jeremias Cordario successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arquímedes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The Arquímedes players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
