Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Panama's Tomas Berganza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Matorin in the 5th minute of the match. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Oswaldo Fantini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FÊNIX F.C.'s Artur Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 11th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Artur Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Oswaldo Fantini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Artur Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Artur Maranhense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FÊNIX F.C.'s Artur Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 27th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Artur Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Gildo Lira got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FÊNIX F.C.'s Artur Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 41st minute of play. Artur Maranhense came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Artur Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Saldanha made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Fantini in the 55th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Maranhense was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Tomas Berganza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Berganza really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Artur Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Artur Maranhense. Abraham Alguacil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 67th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Artur Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Artur Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 69th minute of the match. Alex Cambeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Oswaldo Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FÊNIX F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Fernando Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aílton Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Fantini. FÊNIX F.C.'s Artur Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 79th minute of play. Artur Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 80th minute of the match. Fernando Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Artur Maranhense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abraham Alguacil showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 92 minute of play. When Walmyr de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FÊNIX F.C.'s protests and gave Walmyr de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. 97 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Artur Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Panama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FÊNIX F.C. throughout the match.
