Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gernando Félix started the match with the kick off. Mateus Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lauro da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th match minute, União São José FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Zanette to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Honduras's Moises Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauro da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro da Silveira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Marco de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the União São José FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco de Salles couldn't finish the play. Glauco Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Gernando Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 43rd minute of play forced União São José FC's goalkeeper Lauro da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes in the game Nelson Zanette did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gernando Félix. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and União São José FC's Lauro da Silveira didn't even have to move. Nelson Zanette made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. After 58 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Félix in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Gernando Félix cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 67 minutes into the match, União São José FC's Gernando Félix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glauco Botelho during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Honduras booed when União São José FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Luca Espinar hit a great ball. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Lauro da Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Milagros Cabal's late challenge caught a União São José FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milagros Cabal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. The Honduras players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented União São José FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
