Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Glauco Botelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauro da Silveira saved União São José FC from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lauro da Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. A collision led to União São José FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marco de Salles hit a great ball. Mateus Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gernando Félix's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Lautaro Navarro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Nelson Zanette in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. The supporters of União São José FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nelson Zanette during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to União São José FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Nelson Zanette hit a great ball. In the 43rd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Mateus Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The wind increased when Gernando Félix made the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honduras's Luca Espinar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nelson Zanette in the 58 minute of the game. Nelson Zanette made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gernando Félix immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 63 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Lauro da Silveira in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lauro da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro da Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 89 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ocampo. When Mateus Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the União São José FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateus Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. Lauro da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 94th minute of play. Honduras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
