Phoenix Albs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Phoenix Alb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
