Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Zézinho Moraes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zézinho Moraes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andy Garcia. Soda f c's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. With a little luck, Soda f c's Andy Garcia got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andy Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 91st minute of play. After 92 played minutes Soda f c got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Turdeanu. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Andy Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emmanuel Reyes in the 96th minute.
