In the 36th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Ozan Saygur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. ☪ Ay-Yıldız ☪'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ignacio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 46th minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harald Ingemarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hamodi Hamid kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulkerim Türköne in the 57th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Vera made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. ☪ Ay-Yıldız ☪'s Ignacio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save ☪ Ay-Yıldız ☪ from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ignacio Vera. That made the score 0-3 after 61 minutes of play. ☪ Ay-Yıldız ☪'s Ignacio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save ☪ Ay-Yıldız ☪ from getting a goal against them. In the 97th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ignacio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
