Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 8 minutes, Alonso Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alonso Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruperto Burni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rosales United getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Apolo Baladi hit a great ball. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fahl De Bruyne in the 20th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Berto's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Adan Manny in the 28 minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ruperto Burni made a huge save. In the 37th minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ruperto Burni saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ruperto Burni made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rosales United's Ruperto Burni. Ruperto Burni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ruperto Burni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Rosales United's goalkeeper Ruperto Burni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Mina. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Berto, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Berto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Rosales United's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ruperto Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rosales United's Apolo Baladi got a free kick in the 56th minute. Rosales United's Ruperto Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Rosales United's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Ruperto Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Gallo in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Burni saved Rosales United from getting behind. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rosales United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eliseo Mina was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Peru's Antonio Tenorio to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruperto Burni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
