But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felice Tacco couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferruccio Zarillo went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Santo in the 25th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ferruccio Zarillo made the kick off in the second half. Ferruccio Zarillo came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Ferruccio Zarillo sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 55th minute, Jon Snow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Ferruccio Zarillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ferruccio Zarillo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore Santo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maritek FC's Ettore Santo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 64th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ferruccio Zarillo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 68 minutes into the match. Maritek FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrea Mariani in the 73rd minute. Tomás Moita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Maritek FC's Tomás Moita. But to his dismay, Tomás Moita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. 79 minutes into the match, Tomás Moita notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Moita's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio O'Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jon Snow kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Maritek FC's Tomás Moita got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Moita, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Maritek FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Venezuela throughout the match.
