Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Diego Fe scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wei Chao Yi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute. Diego Fe hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Diego Fe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wei Chao Yi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Wei Chao Yi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After the first half Deportivo el Divague were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Andrei Ačas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Fe took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Guillermo Mariano made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tomas Illescas however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 71st minute. Wei Chao Yi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Wei Chao Yi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Diego Fe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo el Divague's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Fe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Deportivo el Divague's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Wei Chao Yi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Deportivo el Divague getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Apolo Banegas hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wei Chao Yi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Venezuela players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
