NAPOLI's corner, it was just that Rakkestad IF's Christophe Pourre managed to reach the ball for a save. NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Ornelas in the 25th minute of play. S.S.C. NAPOLI were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Rakkestad IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fulvio Grande took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Richard Nixon heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Fulvio Grande got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fulvio Muzzolon took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christophe Pourre. Christophe Pourre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulvio Muzzolon in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christophe Pourre saved Rakkestad IF from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabiano Ornelas was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulvio Muzzolon in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christophe Pourre saved Rakkestad IF from getting behind. Konrad Dziewedik kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Ciccio Bassani got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fulvio Muzzolons short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Christophe Pourre to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 60th minute, Konrad Dziewedik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Fabiano Ornelas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rakkestad IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Ornelas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Achille Albanesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. S.S.C. NAPOLI made a substitution. Dave Pierucci replaced Richard Nixon.
