Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Narbut having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind SALI's goalkeeper Tanek Narbut, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when SALI's Lucrețiu Cazacu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, SALI's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Tanek Narbut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damazy Dziewedik was the one to do the kick off.
