Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. If Slawomir Wojciechowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Scamacca in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gianluca Scamacca to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Scamacca in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Stig Rødal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Stig Rødal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Scamacca, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Gianluca Scamacca in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Scamacca in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Gustaw Fafinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustaw Fafinski had in the 82ndth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After taking down the ball on KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's corner Stig Rødal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Rødal in the 89th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gianluca Scamacca in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A had played much better football throughout.
