Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Vänge IF's Bruno Giordani started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Otsoa in the 4th minute. After 7 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play forced Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Mauro Otsoa sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's Mauro Otsoa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ciriaco Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ciriaco Hernando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciriaco Hernando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Primitivo Andino made in the 34th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Agustín Saelices immediately put the ball in play. Ciriaco Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Vänge IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ciriaco Hernando quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Felix Montenegro put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ciriaco Hernando. After having played for 43 minutes, Danilo Markel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vänge IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Markel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Otsoa in the 45th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Markel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Markus Albäck went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Ciriaco Hernando despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ciriaco Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vänge IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ciriaco Hernando quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute of play. Ramiro James blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Vänge IF were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Östen Olsson took the corner. The corner led Vänge IF's Östen Olsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vänge IF's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Hernando came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Markel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Vänge IF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Danilo Markel hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vänge IF's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Hernando came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ciriaco Hernando in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciriaco Hernando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Vänge IF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Hernando having to make a save.
