The goal made the score 1-0. Emiliano Porro hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Lucky Number Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Herbert Kapera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Kapera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armin Scacchi struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lucky Number Team. 22 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Burelli came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herbert Kapera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Herbert Kapera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Kapera. Herbert Kapera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Kapera saved Lucky Number Team from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Armin Scacchi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 43rd match minute, Lucky Number Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Di Piazza to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Aurelio Renzetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Scacchi in the 57th minute of play. If Alessandro Munno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucky Number Team's Armin Pari was substituted for Aurelio Renzetti. Lucky Number Team were furious when Emiliano Porro was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Lucky Number Team:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Munno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Lucky Number Team's Alessandro Munno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. 83 minutes into the match, Lucky Number Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Herbert Kapera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Munno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Guillermo Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Lucky Number Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Lucky Number Team. Alessandro Scarinci stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. 5-2. After having played for 93 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 98th minute of the match Guillermo Mariano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 99th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucky Number Team were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
