Vilhelm Vilhelmsson started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilhelm Vilhelmsson got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vilhelm Vilhelmsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vilhelm Vilhelmsson. Vilhelm Vilhelmsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilhelm Vilhelmsson ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Vilhelm Vilhelmsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adán Ruz was slow to take the kick. During this time U.C.MILÁN's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Severo Aninat to score against Joaquin Gayoso in Uruguay's goal. 2-0 after 30 minutes. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilhelm Vilhelmsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. A collision led to U.C.MILÁN getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Francisco Antonio Bustos hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, U.C.MILÁN's 俞骋景 got a free kick in the 50th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Vilhelmsson in the 53rd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Vilhelmsson in the 54th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Manuel Gajardo in the 58th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
