The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jens-Ola Boström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Jordan F1 91-05's Jens-Ola Boström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens-Ola Boström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 17th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Boström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Jordan F1 91-05's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jens-Ola Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Jordan F1 91-05's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Jens-Ola Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens-Ola Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nazeer Mhlathe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Jordan F1 91-05's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jens-Ola Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nazeer Mhlathe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nazeer Mhlathe in the 44th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Boström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Jordan F1 91-05's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Jordan F1 91-05's Jens-Ola Boström managed to reach the ball for a save. After 57 minutes, Szczepan Szablewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jordan F1 91-05 and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jordan F1 91-05 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Szczepan Szablewski hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Ola Boström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Jordan F1 91-05's Szczepan Szablewski got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 72 played minutes Jordan F1 91-05 got a freekick which was hit by Szczepan Szablewski. Jordan F1 91-05 made a substitution. Matthias Colin replaced Ulrik Winström. Jordan F1 91-05's Mathias-Alexander Kaisersberger was substituted for Isak Karnerud. After a rather tough play, Jordan F1 91-05's Szczepan Szablewski got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Jordan F1 91-05's Jens-Ola Boström got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens-Ola Boström saved Jordan F1 91-05 from getting behind. A collision led to Jordan F1 91-05 getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Mathias-Alexander Kaisersberger hit a great ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Gunnar Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jordan F1 91-05's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 84thth minute of the game Rafael Gallo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jordan F1 91-05's Jens-Ola Boström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Gallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Jens-Ola Boström made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Rafael Gallo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jens-Ola Boström. That made the score 0-2 after 88 minutes of play. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Jordan F1 91-05's Gunnar Nilsson. But to his dismay, Gunnar Nilsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
