Bedrettin Akşin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind KIZIL KURTLAR's goalkeeper Bedrettin Akşin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Leguizamón to make the kick off. Bedrettin Akşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in KIZIL KURTLAR's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hieronim Bochinski in the 65th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Bedrettin Akşin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Leguizamón in the 70th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Leguizamón in the 73rd minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Leguizamón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
