Jacek Ziemniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that William Vennersten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 17 minutes Honkens Bengaler BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Honkens Bengaler BK's William Vennersten did a great save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafal Witkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Knut Tingelholm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Karl-Oskar Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Knut Tingelholm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honkens Bengaler BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Honkens Bengaler BK's William Vennersten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. When Jon Hökqvist fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honkens Bengaler BK's protests and gave Jon Hökqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Jon Hökqvist hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Honkens Bengaler BK got a freekick which was hit by Knut Tingelholm. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's William Vennersten threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Knut Tingelholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Oskar Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Vennersten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Stigsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honkens Bengaler BK made a substitution. Wladyslaw Ewertowski replaced Jacek Ziemniak. Karl-Oskar Carlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Luis Andino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind William Vennersten. William Vennersten yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2.
