To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Kenny Liljeström might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kenny Liljeström ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Mattsson in the 86th minute of play. Camilo Gisbert's late challenge caught a Vilbergen Boys Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vilbergen Boys Club booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conny Josefsson scored 3-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Vilbergen Boys Club support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
