When Claudio Echeverri came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ríver Late fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Echeverri couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Echeverri in the 34th minute. Claudio Echeverri let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 38th minute shot 3-0 at rihgt post. After 40 played minutes Claudio Echeverri rounded Venezuela's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. 44 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani de Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Geovani de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Claudio Echeverri made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Claudio Echeverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ríver Late fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Ríver Late's Claudio Echeverri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Geovani de Salles in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ríver Late's Carl Skytt was substituted for Silvério Vargas. Claudio Echeverri spun around in front of the goal 63 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Venezuela's goal. Emiliano Gai struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ríver Late. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Gai, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovani de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ríver Late's Dimas Barrientos was substituted for Claudio Echeverri. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovani de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baran Sarka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 85th minute Dimas Barrientos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani de Salles having to interfere. When Dimas Barrientos came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ríver Late fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimas Barrientos couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Ríver Late's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
