In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Xeneizes's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luca Rouco made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Joel Gaona however managed to control. Xeneizes's attentive Slavko Mojsovski managed to snatch the ball when Macos Graciani made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, Qi Xun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Qi Xun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Xeneizes's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qi Xun in the 61st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Nastasio might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aristides Nastasio ran back to his position shaking his head. Mihai Şelaru kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Xeneizes's Aaron Tiso was substituted for Diego Rinaldi. After a rather tough play, Xeneizes's Mihai Şelaru got a free kick in the 67th minute. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulgencio Peru in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th match minute, Xeneizes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Şelaru to maneuver through the defense. The Xeneizes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
