After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Ilmar Murumets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Ilmar Murumets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Türkeş Akşit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ilmar Murumets showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Andırın SK's Rahim İskender managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 16 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Türkeş Akşit in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Ferrant made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Andırın SK's Rahim İskender. 33 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Türkeş Akşit. In the 39th minute Lütfü Şenbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lou Mazuret, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Türkeş Akşit in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. When Andırın SK's Türkeş Akşit in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Türkeş Akşit, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Türkeş Akşit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Türkeş Akşit in the 61st minute of play. Andırın SK's Batıhan Saik was substituted for Türkeş Akşit. Andırın SK made a substitution. The audience was convinced that Batıhan Saik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After 82 minutes of play, Andırın SK's Batıhan Saik made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Batıhan Saik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Batıhan Saik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The supporters of Andırın SK booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball.
