Drąsutis Navickas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jullian Elens came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickaël Maris was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Þórlaugur Vignisson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Þórlaugur Vignisson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jullian Elens came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilijus Tarvydas in the 17th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Zhidelyay's Virgilijus Tarvydas got a free kick in the 26th minute. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Manfredo Vale hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute Laércio Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drąsutis Navickas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredas Nenortas in the 35th minute of the match. Zézinho Veloso hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The supporters of Zhidelyay booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davut İskenderoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Iguaçu MZFC's zone, Þórlaugur Vignisson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mickaël Maris came out of the goal and Þórlaugur Vignisson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laércio Penha took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Drąsutis Navickas. Drąsutis Navickas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Drąsutis Navickas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laércio Penha's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Jullian Elens recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mickaël Maris. Jullian Elens showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Zhidelyay getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Alfredas Nenortas hit a great ball. Edu Vaz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Drąsutis Navickas. Zhidelyay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jullian Elens struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Mickaël Maris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zhidelyay. After a defensive mix-up in Zhidelyay's zone, Edu Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drąsutis Navickas came out of the goal and Edu Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Þórlaugur Vignisson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Zhidelyay made a substitution. Jim Söderqvist replaced Glyn Caine. Zhidelyay made a substitution. Agatas Dambauskas replaced Audrius Rekašius. In the 62nd minute, Þórlaugur Vignisson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Zhidelyay's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Drąsutis Navickas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zhidelyay's goalkeeper Drąsutis Navickas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zhidelyay made a substitution. Petras Bračas replaced Jullian Elens. In the 68th minute of the match Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a corner. Zhidelyay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Edu Vaz to fire away a dangerous shot which Drąsutis Navickas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Drąsutis Navickas came out of the goal and Laércio Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Drąsutis Navickas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Zhidelyay's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Drąsutis Navickas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Lucas Gärtner in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Heitor Ferreira. Drąsutis Navickas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Penha in the 80th minute of the match. After 83 minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Þórlaugur Vignisson who took care of the corner kick. In the 84th minute, Laércio Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 91 minutes into the match, Laércio Penha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Drąsutis Navickas, 2-2.
