In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zhidelyay's goalkeeper Drąsutis Navickas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Penha in the 15th minute of play forced Zhidelyay's goalkeeper Drąsutis Navickas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drąsutis Navickas came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha. But to his dismay, Laércio Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Drąsutis Navickas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laércio Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Drąsutis Navickas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Þórlaugur Vignisson in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredas Nenortas. A collision led to Zhidelyay getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Glyn Caine hit a great ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jullian Elens in the 37th minute of play. Glyn Caine kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Davut İskenderoğlu got a free kick in the 41st minute. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredas Nenortas. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Andrézinho Vaz hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, Zhidelyay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glyn Caine to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 54th minute, Laércio Penha made a precise shot to the right of Drąsutis Navickas. Zhidelyay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Lucas Gärtner made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Virgilijus Tarvydas however managed to control. In the 64th minute Laércio Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drąsutis Navickas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zhidelyay's Agatas Dambauskas was substituted for Audrius Rekašius. After taking down the ball on Nova Iguaçu MZFC's corner Luiz Fábio de Medeiros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Drąsutis Navickas quite easily take care of the ball. Lucas Gärtner made in the 72nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Agatas Dambauskas however managed to control. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredas Nenortas in the 75th minute of the match. Laércio Penha scored 0-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Drąsutis Navickas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edu Vaz lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 83 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Edu Vaz. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Caco Matos was substituted for Andrézinho Vaz. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Edu Vaz hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Petras Bračas came free, but Mickaël Maris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickaël Maris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Þórlaugur Vignisson in the 90th minute of play. When Zhidelyay's Þórlaugur Vignisson in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalie prevented a goal. Drąsutis Navickas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Penha in the 94th minute of the match. Zhidelyay's Drąsutis Navickas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Penha in the 95th minute of play. After some careless play in the Zhidelyay defense, Laércio Penha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Drąsutis Navickas. The Zhidelyay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Drąsutis Navickas should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle went the supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Zhidelyay side.
